Power Systems Division

Our Power Systems Division designs and manufactures controllers for individual power system components and supervisory controllers for complete distributed power systems. We also provide power systems integration engineering for both distributed generation and off-grid applications, integrating our control systems with various third party components. While we sometimes do projects only involving fossil-fueled generators, we specialize in hybrid systems combining renewable (usually wind turbines) and non-renewable forms of electric power generation, such as diesel and natural gas generator sets, microturbines, and fuel cells.

Whether for grid-connected industrial and commercial sites or for off-grid village and remote industrial sites, we design the optimal hybrid power system to meet the customer's cost, fuel savings, and environmental goals. Wherever possible, excess wind energy and waste heat is captured to serve a wide variety of secondary loads, which may include water heating and chilling, water purification, and ice making.
