Steve Drouilhet is president and founder of Sustainable Automation, Inc. He holds a BSME from Brown University, a M.S. in Environmental and Applied Fluid Dynamics from the Von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics, and a M.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering from U.C. Berkeley. He obtained his Professional Engineer’s License in California in 1984. Steve’s professional experience in the wind energy industry spans more than 20 years, having begun his career in 1982 working for U.S. Windpower Inc. as a field test engineer on the very first California wind farm in Altamont Pass. From 1994 to 2002, he worked at the National Wind Technology Center (NWTC) at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), where he led NREL’s program in wind-diesel hybrid system research and development. He was the principal designer of the high penetration wind-diesel power system implemented in the arctic village of Wales, Alaska.

Bruce Sellers, a BSME graduate from Purdue University, has over 20 years of experience in industrial control systems. He obtained his Professional Engineer license in Control Systems Engineering in 1990 in New York state. He has created systems to control a variety of types of machines and processes using PLC and PC controllers and numerous operator interface systems and devices. His experience includes work in data acquisition, supervisory control, position sensing and control, fluid systems, material handling, chemical processing, and industrial assembly. He has designed and managed all phases of control system projects, including project proposals and budget estimates; specification and purchase of components; design and fabrication of equipment; programming, debug, startup and troubleshooting in the field; and user manuals, documentation and training materials.

Josh Munger earned his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Oklahoma State University. He is currently an EIT (Engineer in Training) building his expertise in renewable energy solutions, power systems, controls, and systems integration.  Josh is active in the development of Sustainable Automaton’s Power Systems Test and Simulation Laboratory, which incorporates the company's proprietary secondary load controller and synchronous condensor controller.  His passion for sustainability grew from an interest in efficient home building, which remains an active pursuit.
